Since its formation in 1994, Talent Historical Society has taken an active part in preserving and documenting the past. Located in the old Talent Library Building, it is the smallest museum in the county, but big in heart. The extensive files on the area's families, businesses, schools, oral histories, photographs, and the famous Welborn Beeson diaries make our office a great place to start your

historical research. The historic sites of Fort Wagner and Talent Irrigation District are marked with plaques within the town limits. Stearns Cemetery off Wagner Creek Road, used since 1857, serves as an open textbook on the history of the area.
